Sun Paper & Board was founded in 1976 by Brian Elmore. His vision at the time was that a number of mills needed an independent local representative in the UK market, in order to maximise the mills position and create a stable sales platform.

Over the years, Sun Paper & Board has represented various European and non-European mills and, in recent years, has built up a strong reputation in the market for its wide range of products. The Company currently acts on behalf of mills based in North and South America and Europe for products for sale into the UK and, in some cases, throughout Europe.

The Company handles in excess of 100,000 tonnes of product per annum and has established itself as one of the main agency Companies in the region.

The Company's main focus is developing strong sales channels for its principals and maintaining a high level of service, which is vital in today's markets.

In addition to acting as a pure agent, the Company is also able to take title of product in order to minimise the fiscal and administrative burdens imposed by local authorities.

The Company has substantial financial resources in order to assist in the easy flow of product and has a vast amount of experience in the logistical requirements of paper and board products. As a result of a number of years of experience dealing with non-European mills, the Company is able to assist mills in achieving service levels which are, at least as good and in some cases substantially better, than local competition.

Sun Paper & Board has seen IT systems as a major instrument in achieving their objectives and has, therefore, made substantial investments in this area.

The main objective of Sun Paper & Board is to ensure the smooth flow of product from point of production to point of sale and, at the same time, maximising opportunities and rewards for its principals.
